Canis Lupus

This new growl demands a wilder ear
Commands fresh paths, dissolves
An opaque past.
About the village now abound
Prints of massive paws.
See me in the pale white glow,
My orange eyes ignited?
Who can see me? Loosely
Anchored, I am large
As plaza statues in my
Several guises.
Overhead the far lit orb pulls like instinct.
Tonight the fatted moon will bare its teeth.
Who hears the baying of Lupus?
Comprehending, who tears her
Frantic flesh against the mile-wide glass?
Soon two will shatter the light.
